Tire Information
Want to know more about the right tires for you?
We have provided a brief description of each type of tire as well a scale of tire quality vs quantity.
All Season
Designed for moderate climates, these tires offer decent traction in wet and dry conditions but are not intended for heavy snow or ice. They use harder rubber that can harden in temperatures below 7°C, reducing grip.
All Weather
A hybrid of all-season and winter tires, these feature the 3PMSF (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake) symbol and are designed for, and can handle, mild to moderate winter conditions. They work year-round and are better in snow than all-season tires, but wear faster.
Winter
Specifically engineered for temperatures consistently below 7°C/45°F, using flexible rubber and aggressive tread patterns for snow, slush, and ice. They are marked with the 3PMSF symbol, with some also featuring an ice grip symbol.
All Terrain
Built for versatility, these tires are a mix of highway and mud tires, suitable for trucks and SUVs that navigate pavement, gravel, and light mud.
Summer
Designed for high-performance driving in warm weather, offering excellent braking and handling on dry or wet roads. Their tread compound is not designed for low temperatures.
